Foreword
Good evening, and thank you so much for coming to support our FHODS Youth Section, and the wonderful charity Children in Need, it really means so much to us that you are here tonight.
I'm immensely proud to represent this hugely talented group of young Fhoddies. After their massively sucessful Bugsy Malone back in April, they wanted to do something a little different, and came to me with this idea of a fundraising evening, by performing some of their favourite songs from the musicals. This production has been entirely created by them, all the choreography, direction, costume and song choices are all their own. As a group, they really don't get a lot of time to pull something like this together, particularly with constant exams and mocks going on for many of them, and their dedication and commitment is incredibly inspiring.
Your attendance here tonight is supporting two wonderful charities. 10% of ticket sales willbe going directly to Children in Need, and we have buckets around the theatre purely for them, so if you can, please pop some change in there. The other charity is obviously us - FHODS. The money raised tonight will fund purely the Youth Section, and pay for workshops and ways to develop skills and further their training.
So once again, I thank you for your support - our charities rely on the generosity of people like you, and we are very grateful to have you there to help keep us going.
So sit back, relax and prepare to be transported to many different musicals by the superbly talented Youth Section.
Michelle Hartley, Youth Section Co-ordinator
Special thanks must go to Steve Hawkins for providing the backing tracks for the show, and singing support to some of the cast.
Thanks also to our fantastic chaperones, Sunday night supervisors and Bar and Front of House volunteers, without who, this show wouldn't be able to take place.
